... is the title of the book that documents and pays tribute to around 40 years of feminist theology and the Women-Church movement in Switzerland. Published by eFeF-Verlag, it has been available in bookstores since May 2022. It was edited by Doris Strahm and Silvia Strahm Bernet, with the collaboration of Monika Hungerbühler.

It also includes a contribution on the ESWTR.
The book’s authors are women who were active then and now; they report on the countless projects and initiatives, thereby documenting a chapter of Swiss women’s (church) history spanning from the late 1970s to 2021.

making them visible. This history also encompasses the ESWTR; the book includes a contribution dedicated to its founding in Magliaso, Switzerland, in 1986. To this day, its Swiss section serves as a platform for networking and exchange among feminist and gender researchers in fields such as theology, religious studies, Jewish studies, Islamic studies, and others.

Teaching appointments in feminist theology and theological gender studies
Teaching appointments at the universities of Basel, Bern, Fribourg, and Lucerne have played a significant role in the development of feminist theology in German-speaking Switzerland. Starting in the mid-1980s, teaching positions focused on feminist theology—or women’s and gender studies—were introduced at the aforementioned theological faculties and, in some locations, firmly established. A contribution to the book, authored by Doris Strahm, attempts to reconstruct these beginnings and the subsequent evolution of feminist theology and theological gender studies within these faculties. The primary sources used were lists of teaching appointments compiled—through a painstaking process involving the review of every course catalog since 1985—by the deans' office administrators of the four theological faculties specifically for this book chapter; these lists include the year, the name of the lecturer, and the topic (where known).

The ESWTR homepage as an archive for the lists
These lists were so extensive that printing them in full would have exceeded the scope of the book chapter. To ensure these valuable and unique documents are not lost, they are now being published—and thus archived—here on the ESWTR Switzerland website. The aforementioned book chapter refers readers to the ESWTR Switzerland website as the location where these materials are published.
